Lightning Ikebana

How admirable
to see lightning and not think
life is fleeting.

Matsuo Basho

curly willow and sunflower

Can you see the lightning in the arrangement, too?

This is a very creative way to show lightening, very imaginative and expressive. I love this arrangement.

Gail,
Thanks for your comment!
I actually didn't see the lightning until after I had finished it and was taking pictures of it!

Stephen: Fabulous! This sure is a mysterious piece; just by looking at it, I can almost hear the rumblings of thunder in the sky, and the gusty wind, and the thick humid atmosphere of a summer afternoon! The orange sunflower---be it a beacon of hope that foretells the glorious sun that will bring peace to the valleys and illuminate the horizon towards evening??

John.

PS: HOpe you're enjoying your summer!
